Artist Statement
Gina Beauvais has been making beadwork jewelry since she was anadolescent. In high school, she sold jewelry at NJ shore shops and repaired antique jewelry. Her interest continued at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, when she joined the Crafts Department.
Working under well-known jewelers like Sharon Church, Rod McCormack, Chris Darway, and Metalsmith Magazine Editor, SarahBodine and Bruce Metcalf, Gina graduated with a BFA in Jewelry-ArtEducation, where she learned all aspects of metallurgy and jewelry arttheories. She currently owns Silver Wings Studio in Chester Springs,teaching art and jewelry classes for children and adults.
