When words are inadequate to express our feelings, we can always share a tear – a Glass Tear. These handcrafted glass remembrances; ornaments, poems, custom cards and accessories are the perfect way to let others know that you are willing to share in the burden of their grief journey.

Tears are a universal symbol of grief. A Glass Tear represents a pledge from one person to another, to support them as they mourn the loss of a loved one. Glass Tears are not a casual gift that should be given without the deepest, sincere, heartfelt intent to offer support. A Glass Tear is intended to be a lasting gesture that survives the traditional flowers and cards of other well-wishers. Glass Tears are a monument to the love and support that you intend to offer.

Janet’s husband, Gary, participates in the making of their handcrafted Christmas ornaments. When MS forced him into an early retirement from dentistry, Gary set up his workshop with all his power tools and working surfaces at wheelchair height.

Linda Jenny brings the frigid north and its awesome nature, wild wolves, and polar bears to life through photography, a love born from years of dog sledding with her husband and two sons. When back home in the more subtle landscapes of the lower 50, Linda turns her searching eye to landscapes and wildlife shots that aim to delight, entertain, and simply awe the observer with the beauty of our natural world. Paintography by Linda Jenny brings a bit of the wild back into our suburbanized world.

An avid photographer since she was introduced to her mother’s Brownie Hawkeye camera, Linda’s work in digital photography is supported by a love for travel, a passion for nature, and a love of the great outdoors.

Linda and Dave reside in lovely Bucks County, Pennsylvania, with their sons David and Joshua and the family Weimaraner, Mr. Deuce, a new and frequent photo subject. Linda is also a frequent contributor to The Bucks County Herald where she is known as River Voice.

Since childhood, Kristine Franzese has felt a drive to explore the potential beauty in all raw materials. And coming from a family of men in the construction and design business and women either sewing or knitting, the idea of creating objects that are both useful and beautiful was always present.

After high school Kristine went to the Fashion Institute of Technology where she received a BFA in Interior Design. She eventually fell in love with the jewelry making process and went on to get an AAS in Jewelry Studio. She also completed several intensive classes with Cecelia Bauer, specializing in a technique called granulation and learning the art of hand-engraving while on the job. Kristine worked in the jewelry industry starting in 1994 and is still doing custom design work and hand-engraving today.

Now caring for her children at home, Kristine was reintroduced to knitting. At that time, felting wool and knitting handbags helped her satisfy her unyielding need to create. With the kids no longer toddlers, a business plan was developed that moved beyond hand-knits alone and into up-cycling sweaters and other natural fibers. Combining these with other eco-friendly fabric options, Kristine returned to her family roots and created the limited edition and one-of-a-kind handbags and accessories that you see today. Please Enjoy!

Growing up near the wooded trails of the Lehigh Valley’s South Mountain, I was inspired to record my encounters with Eastern Pennsylvania’s native birds, plants, and wildlife in drawings and sketches. Later, while pursuing my B.A. in Fine Arts at Cedar Crest College, I was introduced to printmaking – a process that, like the species of the woods, created a series of striking images, each similar in its way, yet possessed of subtle and unique variations – and I discovered my ideal means of exploring nature through art.

I enjoy working with my hands, and I find that the tactile experience of printmaking provides me with as much enjoyment as the final piece.

My prints still find their inspiration in wildlife, but my subjects have also turned to historical buildings, landscapes, and the pets with whom I share my home. My nature drawings have illustrated The Lehigh Valley, a concise study of this Eastern Pennsylvania region’s natural history by Drs. Robert Halma & Carl S. Oplinger, and I contributed a set of historically-inspired prints to illustrate Dr. Mark Graham’s How Islam Created the Modern World.

I am currently working on a series of prints which focus on native song birds and flowers, the brilliant colors and refined beauty of which are representative of the themes my art seeks to capture, for the benefit of others to enjoy. I hope that you find as much pleasure in viewing your print as I had in making it.

Ms. Buesgen’s passion for ceramics ranges from hand-built pots to finely crafted jewelry, with the jewelry being a relatively new venture. “I have recently started to work on the smaller scale of ceramics,” says Buesgen, “I enjoy making delicate things.” Also, she is well-known for her dynamic glazes and organic, nature-inspired motifs. “I’m always…experimenting with glazes, textures and styles,” she says.

Shamira Chism realized that she had a real love for and experienced real joy for making candles when she was exposed to making them as a teenager in her high school art club. She made them well enough that she was commissioned to make the candles for her own high school prom. A number of years later (just how many she will never tell) she began making candles again, however with a little twist; these candles looked and smelled like pastries and desserts. Shamira can make everything from a snickerdoodle cookie to a purely delectable and edible-smelling strawberry shortcake.

Now, residing in the Emmaus area, Shamira is excited to bring her art form and creativity to elevate your senses with a unique, invigorating and inviting fragrant experience.

She hopes you enjoy them as much as she enjoyed creating them.

I received my first bead kit for my 12th birthday. In the ensuing years I have enjoyed various types of embroidery, macreme, and decorative painting. I started making jewelry again in 2005, as a way to create special, heart-felt gifts for my family and friends. As a hobby I (mistakenly) thought it would be easy to do, while my then 2-year-old daughter napped. Having been blessed with parents who encouraged me to take things apart, along with an adoring (and adored) grandmother who always sang the praises of my handiwork, I confidently set to work. I began making piece, after piece, after piece…until I was left with no other choice than to start selling my designs!

Although I still enjoy bead stringing and wire work, I have fallen in love with bead weaving. The intricate stitches and rhythmic motion are reminiscent of embroidery, and the results are quite spectacular! I love learning new stitches, experimenting with new patterns, and I am in awe of all the beautiful seed bead colors.

My goal as a jewelry artist is to create jewelry that is beautiful, interesting, and well-made with fine attention to detail. I enjoy doing custom work and the challenge of creating special pieces that have meaning to the wearer, as well as an extension of the love felt by the giver.
